Eintracht

Thank you for everything, Oliver Glasner!

Eintracht Frankfurt and Oliver Glasner go their separate ways after two years.

Following the announcement on 9 May that Oliver Glasner would depart at the end of the campaign, the focus was set firmly on the season finale. After collecting seven points from the last three Bundesliga games, the Eagles were able to secure seventh place and a spot in the UEFA Europa Conference League qualifying rounds at the end of August. Now the time has come to say thank you!

Europa League glory and Champions League last 16

After joining Eintracht from Wolfsburg in summer 2021, Glasner enjoyed a successful spell in Frankfurt, especially in cup competitions, and steered the team to glory in the UEFA Europa League last year - a triumph that will forever be associated with the name Oliver Glasner. Furthermore, his side reached the round of 16 in the Champions League following some impressive group-stage displays. Eintracht’s run to the 2023 DFB Cup final - the club’s fourth appearance in the decider in the last six years – is also considered a success.

We had two very successful years together. Oliver played a major role in that success.

Board member for sport Markus Krösche

After the final, board member for sport Markus Krösche expressed his appreciation for Glasner: “We had two very successful years together. Oliver played a major role in that success. Alongside his coaching staff, including Michael Angerschmid and Ronald Brunmayr, he achieved great things, particularly in cup competitions. They will always be welcome at Eintracht Frankfurt in the future. We wish them all the best for the future. Many thanks for your efforts and all the work over the last two years.”
