Coaches - Transfers - Training - Fixtures

It is time for a news update to highlight what has been happening with Eintracht Frankfurt in the recent weeks. There are plenty of new faces at the club, the training camp in Austria is underway and the fixture list for next season has been announced. Read all the latest below.

COACHING STAFF COMPLETE

The team around manager Armin Veh had been completed in time for the official start of the Eagle's preperation for the new season (11th of June). This is the team behind the team:

Assistant Coach: Reiner Geye joins Eintracht as Armin Veh's Co-Manager. Born in 1964 he has featured in 135 Bundesliga & 2. Bundesliga matches as a player and started coaching in 1992. He already worked with Veh at Hamburger SV (up until March 2011).

Goalkeeper's Coach: Manfred Petz returns to Eintracht where he already had worked in 1998 and 1999 coaching the goalkeepers. Born in 1961 he joins from MSV Duisburg on a two year contract.

Fitness Coach: Christian Kolodziej joins from VfB Stuttgart, and he has also worked for Borussia Dortmund. 1969 born Kolodziej worked with Armin Veh already when they won the title with Stuttgart in 2007.

Rehab Manager: Michael Fabacher (as before) will look after convalescents and help players to recover from injuries, he has been with Eintracht since 2003.

PLAYER TRANSFERS

More new faces at the club - various players have been joining the Eagles in order to help with the mission 'Direct Re-Promotion'. Sporting Director Bruno Hübner has been busy and he has signed the following players:

Matthias Lehmann joins from FC St. Pauli. The 28 year old midfielder signed a three year contract (80 Bundesliga games / 9 goals and 160 2. Bundesliga games / 28 goals). Former clubs: SSV Ulm, VfB Stuttgart II, TSV 1860 München, Alemannia Aachen, FC St. Pauli and various Germany youth teams.

Thomas Kessler joins on loan from 1. FC Köln. The 25 year old goalkeeper (31 games in Bundesliga, 6 in 2. Bundesliga) was on loan to FC St. Pauli last season. Former clubs: 1.FC Köln II, 1. FC Köln, FC St. Pauli.

Constant Djakpa joins on loan from Bayer Leverkusen. The 24 year old left defender was on loan to Hannover last season and featured in 47 Bundesliga matches so far.

Stefan Bell joins from Mainyz 05 on loan. The 19 year old central defender was on loan to 1860 Munich last season (24 2. Bundesliga games, 2 goals).

FIRST CUP ROUND

In the first round of the German DFB-Pokal the Eagles will have to travel to a lower league team. Hallescher FC ended up fourth in the 'DFB-Regionalliga NORD' - the fourth division. The match will take place on the weekend 29th of July to 01st of August, final date and time to be announced.

TRAINING CAMP

The Egales are currently in Leogang / Austria for their yearly pre season training camp. The have been there since last Thursday to lay the foundation for a successful season and to develop the right spirit for the challenge of re-promotion. Currently manager Veh is testing defender Shai Maimon of Maccabi Haifa, also Austrian Erwin Hoffer has joined the squad (was on loan to Kaiserslautern from SSC Napoli) and might sign at a later stage. The camp will last until June the 26th.

FIXTURE LIST 2. BUNDESLIGA 2011/12

The fixture list of the season to come has been announced today by DFL Deutsche Fußball Liga. Eintracht's first match of the season will be away to SpVgg Greuther Fürth on the weekend from June 15th to 18th. The very last match of the season will be away to Karlsruher SC (May 6th 2012), the derbies against FSV Frankfurt take place on matchdays 5 (away) and 22 (home). View the full fixture list HERE.
