That is the day that the 34th Africa Cup of Nations gets under way in Côte d’Ivoire. Farès Chaibi is part of the Algeria squad, Omar Marmoush has been called up for Egypt and Ellyes Skhiri will be on duty for Tunisia.

In Group E, Tunisia will face Namibia on 16 January (18:00 CET), Mali on 20 January (21:00 CET) and South Africa on 24 January (18:00 CET).
Marmoush / Egypt
Group B sees Egypt take on Mozambique on 14 January (18:00 CET), Ghana on 18 January (21:00 CET) and Cabo Verde on 22 January (21:00 CET).
Chaibi / Algeria
Algeria kick off their campaign on 15 January at 21:00 CET against Angola, before taking on Burkina Faso on 20 January (15:00 CET), followed by Mauritania on 23 January (21:00 CET).
Knockout stages
How long the Frankfurt internationals will be away for obviously depends on how well their countries fare. The round of 16 gets under way on 27 January, the quarter-finals kick off on 2 February, the semi-finals are on 7 February, the match for third place is on 10 February and the final is on 11 February.
