Branimir Hrgota to leave Eintracht Frankfurt

Branimir Hrgota, whose contract expires at the end of June, is leaving Eintracht after three years.

Hrgota moved to Frankfurt from Borussia Mönchengladbach in summer 2016. The Swedish under-21 European Championship winner made 30 appearances in all competitions during his first season with the Eagles, notching six goals and three assists. The striker made a further eight appearances the following season but played just four minutes during the 2018/19 campaign.

“During the three years that I knew him at Frankfurt, Brane was always totally committed to the team and never let us down,” said board member Fredi Bobic when the agreement, which was by mutual consent, was announced. “Unfortunately he never quite made the breakthrough with us, but he still leaves us with our best wishes for his future career.”
