Eagles on tour

A full XI of Eintracht players have been called up to their national teams.

André Silva will be hoping to be among the goals for Portugal when they take on France in Paris in the UEFA Nations League. Kevin Trapp has again been included in the Germany squad for the friendly against Turkey and the Nations League fixtures against Ukraine and Switzerland, where he could come up against teammates Djibril Sow and Steven Zuber.

Two club clashes

That’s not the only clash involving Eintracht players on both sides, with Marijan Cavar and Bosnia and Herzegovina facing Ragnar Ache and Germany in U21 EURO qualifying.

Meanwhile, there are three games on the agenda for Martin Hinteregger and Stefan Ilsanker with the Austrian national team. They play Northern Ireland and Romania in the Nations League alongside a friendly against Greece.

Kamada returns, first call-up for Barkok

Daichi Kamada has been named in the Japan squad for the first time since March 2019. The ‘Samurai Blue’ play friendlies against Cameroon and Ivory Coast in Utrecht.

There could be a Morocco debut for Aymen Barkok, who has switched allegiance to his parents’ home country after representing Germany at youth level. The 22-year-old is in the squad for the matches against Senegal and DR Congo.

Finally, Simon Falette has been selected by Guinea for their friendlies against Cape Verde and Gambia.
