Eagles earn top marks for hygiene concept implementation

Eintracht Frankfurt board member Axel Hellmann has thanked the Eagles fans, saying: “Everyone played their part and behaved in an exemplary manner”.

Eintracht have been awarded top marks from the University Hospital in Frankfurt for the manner in which they executed the spectator and hygiene concept in their home match against DSC Arminia Bielefeld. A 12-person panel monitored the implementation of the concept and compliance with the hygiene regulations over the course of Matchday 1. The vast majority of the 6,500 spectators who attended Eintracht’s 1-1 draw with Bielefeld at the Deutsche Bank Park adhered to the guidelines.

Everyone played their part and behaved in an exemplary manner, particularly in the stands.

There were no major violations of the regulations, some of which will have been unfamiliar,” said Eintracht board member Axel Hellmann. “Everyone played their part and behaved in an exemplary manner, particularly in the stands. That creates trust – not just with the health authorities – and is enormously important when it comes to taking the next small steps back to greater normality. We will of course be improving one or two things, but we’ve passed the first test together with flying colours. We owe our thanks to every single one of them.”
