Second match, second win – and Eintracht’s Jean-Mattéo Bahoya was again directly involved in a goal for the French U19 team, this time as a scorer. In their second group game at the U19 EURO, Les Tricolores claimed a 4-2 win over Denmark and as a result already have six points on the board in Group B.
Bayoha, who set up Lucas Michal’s equaliser in the opening encounter against Türkiye as France came from behind to win 2-1, was named in the starting line-up this time and there were just 19 minutes on the clock when the Eintracht midfielder collected the ball at the far post from a cross, steadied himself and slotted the ball in to make it 1-0.
Spain await in final group game
Bahoya and Co take on Spain in their final Group B match. The top two from the two groups of four not only qualify for the semi-finals but also for the 2025 U-20 World Cup. The third-placed teams contest a play-off match for the fifth World Cup spot.
