Bahoya and France clinch top spot in group

After the 2-2 draw against Spain in the final round of group games at the European U19 Championship, the French face Ukraine in the semi-finals.

Jean-Mattéo Bahoya and the French U19 team were heading for their first defeat of the EURO in Northern Ireland until the last minute, when Les Tricolores equalised late to seal a 2-2 draw against Spain. With seven points, France progress to the semi-finals of the tournament and have also secured their place for the 2025 U-20 World Cup. Eintracht midfielder Bahoya was a half-time substitute in Larne.

Bayoha and his team-mates face Ukraine in the last four on Thursday 25 July in Belfast, with Italy and Spain contesting the other semi-final.
