Aurèle Amenda to become an Eagle

Eintracht Frankfurt have signed the defender from Swiss champions BSC Young Boys. The 20-year-old will join in the summer after agreeing a contract until 2029.

Aurèle Amenda will be joining Eintracht Frankfurt from 1 July 2024. The 1.97-metre-tall centre-back has come through the ranks at 16-time Swiss champions Young Boys, where he made his first-team debut almost exactly two years ago at the age of 18. Since then, Amenda has made a total of 45 appearances in all competitions for the Berne club, helping them to win the Super League and Swiss Cup last season.

Born in Biel, Amenda has already gained European and international experience, playing four times in the UEFA Champions League as well as representing Switzerland on 24 occasions at various youth levels. The 20-year-old has played every minute of the last four U21 EURO qualifiers.

“Aurèle is a highly talented player who’s already gained international experience at a young age,” said Eintracht board member for sport Markus Krösche. “He’s fast and very strong in the air, as well as being good in possession. He’s also an excellent fit for our team on a personal level.”
