“Rely on each other and give our all”

Oliver Glasner on the upcoming game against Arminia Bielefeld, personnel and Eintracht’s strong team spirit.

Oliver Glasner on…

…personnel: “Erik Durm trained today without any problems. We’ll see how he reacts tomorrow. Apart from @Sebastianrode20, all other players are fit and have made a very good impression. That includes Filip Kostic after his knock at the weekend.”

…upcoming opponents Bielefeld: “They play the most long balls in the Bundesliga and like going for the second ball. They’re compact and dangerous from set-pieces. Bielefeld have only conceded one goal so far and that was a penalty. They’re very solid and we need solutions for that. Putting the ball in the net was one of the focal points in training this week, as was our coordination. We’re going into the game with a good feeling.”

We have a great team spirit. When everyone gives their all, it pulls everyone together.

Head coach Oliver Glasner

…his birthday this Saturday: “I almost forgot about my birthday on Saturday because we’re in the middle of preparation and that sort of thing is of secondary importance. I hope we can toast three points on the way back.”

…team spirit in the squad: “We have a great team spirit. The lads spend a lot of time together. Most of the time they show up at the ground at eight in the morning and don’t leave until six in the evening. They’re able to talk a lot. The best way of fostering camaraderie is still out on the pitch, where the lads know they can rely on each other. When everyone gives their all, it pulls everyone together.”

Goncalo Paciencia: “He’s had a good week of training. He was out for a long time with his injury. It’s important for him to rediscover a feel for the chances in a game. He has a great attitude because that’s exactly what he wants to work on. He’s definitely on the right track.”
