Head coach Oliver Glasner: “We played a good pressing game, forced Wolfsburg to play a lot of long balls and kept them far away from our goal. We didn’t want to protect the 1-0 and kept pushing forward, but Wolfsburg put a lot of pressure on us and played with a lot of intensity. In the end, you could tell we had a game just three days ago. The precision was missing and we had to chase them a lot. Overall, I’m satisfied with my team. We ran almost 121 kilometres, had 82 sprints – and that’s just three days after the Europa League match. The foundation is there. We can build on this performance.”
We’re getting better with every game and we now want to get our first win against Köln

Jesper Lindström: “Wolfsburg are tough opponents – they were top of the table at the start of the matchday. The 1-1 draw is an OK result, even though we obviously wanted to win the game. We have a lot of new players. The more time we spend together, the better we’ll understand each other and know how everyone prefers to play. We’re getting better with every game and we now want to get our first win against Köln.”
Sam Lammers: “Of course I’m happy about my goal. We played a very good first half. We were energetic and aggressive in the duels, put our opponents under pressure and won a lot of second balls. In the second half we didn’t have the necessary power, the opponents created more chances and we had difficulties.”
