Eintracht enter quarantine training camp

The Eagles started their quarantine training camp on Wednesday as they aim to hunt down a top-four spot during the final 11 days of the campaign.

Eintracht are back in their element – albeit involuntarily. Adi Hütter’s team head into Matchday 33 chasing a place in the Bundesliga’s top four and, if the first of their three training sessions ahead of Saturday’s trip to FC Schalke 04 is anything to go by, the Eagles remain determined to give their all in their quest for a Champions League berth.

Hasebe and Rode training separately

Hütter and his coaching staff had a near-full squad to choose from on Wednesday. Tuta, who was forced off after an hour against 1. FSV Mainz 05 with a slight knock, took part in the session, while Makoto Hasebe and Sebastian Rode trained separately from the rest of the group.

The Eagles also moved into their quarantine training camp on Wednesday, as required by the DFL. The camp, which aims to minimise the risk of coronavirus infection, will last until the end of the season. “I don’t think we’ll suffer from cabin fever,” said Hütter. “We’re used to spending a lot of time with each other, even for several days or weeks at a time. We accept the situation as it is.”
