Angerschmid and Brunmayr leave Eintracht

The two assistant coaches will leave Eintracht Frankfurt at the end of the 2022/23 season, alongside head coach Oliver Glasner. Jan Zimmermann will remain at the club as goalkeeping coach.

Michael Angerschmid moved with Glasner from VfL Wolfsburg to Eintracht in summer 2021, continuing a working relationship that began in 2015. Ronald Brunmayr, meanwhile, joined the coaching staff from Blau-Weiß Linz. The Austrian duo both played their part in the 2022 UEFA Europa League triumph, one of the biggest achievements in the club’s history. The contracts of Angerschmid, 49, and Brunmayr, 48, were originally scheduled to run until 30 June 2024, but have both been terminated early.

Goalkeeping coach Jan Zimmermann, whose contract is valid until 30 June 2024, is to remain and Eintracht Frankfurt and continue in the same capacity.

Board member for sport Markus Krösche: “We would like to thank Michael and Ronald for their tremendous commitment over the last two years. We’ve celebrated huge successes together that will forever unite Eintracht Frankfurt and the coaching team. We wish both of them all the best for the future.”
