Cheftrainer Dino Toppmöller on ...
…opponents SV Werder Bremen: “They’re a team with a flair for the spectacular. They play an extremely high-risk game going forward and have good patterns of play in their 3-5-2 system with two great strikers, hard-working midfielders and uncompromising defenders.”
…Eintracht’s fitness levels: “The travelling and the games are taking their toll, but the lads have done exceptionally well up to now. We’re not letting the issue enter our heads. Everyone’s at a very high level physically and capable of coping with our schedule. Everyone’s ready.”
…Tuta’s return: “Tuta will take part in a short recovery session this afternoon, which we’ll take a look at. The final training session on Saturday will be the acid test. I’m relatively confident but we’ll wait and see what happens. Our doctors have also only just returned from Helsinki and are going to take a closer look.”
You can feel the excitement ahead of the next game. Everyone’s really looking forward to what’s in store.
Head coach Dino Toppmöller
…the busy schedule: “When games are coming thick and fast, you don’t have much time to reflect on the previous game. The focus immediately turns to the next challenge, including training, analysis and coming up with a game plan. It’s a good thing too, because that’s what we and the players want. When the players celebrate with the fans, it gives them a certain energy which we could do with taking into Sunday.”
…mental freshness: “Winning matches is extremely helpful. It inspires you. We also try to have fun in training. The atmosphere is great, our spirit is good. There’s a great deal of energy in the group. We’re using a lot of players, which keeps them on their toes. You can feel the excitement ahead of the next game. Everyone’s really looking forward to what’s in store.”
