Ali Akman joins Göztepe Izmir

The attacker returns to Turkey on loan for a year, with the second-division club holding an option to make the move permanent.

Eintracht Frankfurt have reached an agreement with Göztepe Izmir for the loan of Ali Akman for the 2022/23 season. At the end of the campaign the Turkish side, who were relegated from the SüperLig last term, have the option to make the transfer permanent. Akman's existing contract in Frankfurt is valid until 30 June 2025.

The loan sees Akman return to his homeland. The 20-year-old joined Frankfurt from Bursaspor in March 2021 and the striker laced his boots for NEC Nijmegen on loan in the 2021/22 season, scoring six times in 32 competitive appearances for the Dutch top-flight outfit.
