Africa Cup of Nations: Falette and Guinea fall in round of 16

Simon Falette’s dream of Africa Cup of Nations glory in Egypt came to an end on Sunday evening when Guinea went down 3-0 to a very strong Algeria team.

Favourites Algeria were ice-cool in front of goal and proved to be the better team in what was a hard-fought contest, running out deserved 3-0 winners. Eintracht defender Falette played the full 90 minutes for the fourth match in a row, but was powerless to stop his team slipping to defeat and thus out of the competition.
