Ragner Ache is set for a lengthy absence after suffering another thigh injury. After joining the Eagles last summer, the striker was included in Adi Hütter’s matchday squad on the opening day of the season before appearing off the bench in Eintracht’s following two games. He then had to undergo surgery due to problems with his right thigh but returned to action against FC Bayern Munich in February. He also made cameo appearances in Leipzig and at home to Union Berlin in Eintracht’s last game.
However, the 22-year-old has now picked up another tendon issue in his right thigh – this time at the back of his leg – and is likely to be unavailable for quite some time.
