Jesper Lindström departs

The 23-year-old has joined SSC Napoli with immediate effect after two years at Eintracht Frankfurt, where his contract was due to run until 30 June 2026.

Jesper Lindström moved to Eintracht in summer 2021 from Danish champions Bröndby IF. The attacker made 39 competitive appearances for the Eagles in his first season at the club, registering five goals and nine assists. The Dane made a further nine outings in the UEFA Europa League, contributing four assists en route to winning the title. Lindström played 70 minutes of the final against Rangers in Seville, which Eintracht ended up winning 5-4 on penalties.

The Denmark international, who has scored once in nine caps for his country, recorded seven goals in 27 Bundesliga games last season, and also scored Eintracht’s first-ever goal in the UEFA Champions League in the 1-0 win away at Marseille in the group stage. In total, Lindström made 80 competitive appearances for Eintracht and also represented his country at the FIFA World Cup 2022.

Board member for sport Markus Krösche: “Over the last two years Jesper has played a big part in our positive development. Winning the Europa League title, reaching the DFB Cup final and enjoying many special moments in the Bundesliga are something he will always associate with Eintracht, and vice versa. Jesper’s time in Frankfurt was also notable for his impressive individual development, which is a good example of how we as a club are able to take highly talented players to the next level. We wish him all the best for his future in Naples.”
