13-0 – Test Match win in Marburg

On Friday evening the Eagles played a test match against a squad consisting of two lower division teams – SG Treis/Allendorf and SV Bauerbach.

While several players are on tour with their national sides, those Eagles who stayed at home, played a test match in Marburg, which is approximately one hour from Frankfurt. Against a squad consisting of players from both SG Treis/Allendorf and SV Bauerbach the Eagles won 13-0 on Friday evening.

Besuschkow and Haller Topscorers

Max Besuschkow was on the field for the entire game and scored three times. Just as Sébastien Haller, who was out of luck in his first two Bundesliga games, in which he hit the post twice. SGE's last minute signing Ante Rebic, who was substituted in for the last 30 minutes, found the back of the net twice.

Niko Kovac said about the test match: "I am not only happy about the many goals we scored, but about the way we created chances as well. We weren't able to score in the league, but that will come as well. We'll keep working hard and eventually reward ourselves."
