UEFA Europa League | Matchday 7
“We had complete control”

Markus Krösche, assistant coach Jan Fießer and Can Uzun reflect on the fourth win in as many games in 2025 and look ahead to the tasks ahead.

Board member for sport Markus Krösche: “We were too hesitant in the first half and weren’t getting into good positions. We did better in that regard after the break and deserved to win. We want to win in Rome too and see what happens in the standings after that.”

Assistant coach Jan Fießer: “It was a very respectable performance over 90 minutes. We were in complete control. A wondergoal from Can Uzun lit the spark for us. Defensively, it feels like we’re getting better every week. The lads’ enthusiasm to defend is huge – that includes the players who came on. It was a deserved win and obviously a special win for me, but every win with Eintracht is enjoyable. It was a successful evening all round!”

Can Uzun: “It was a very good goal from me. It was a very nice feeling. I just went for it, like I did a few times last year. Scoring at that point was very important – we needed it. I’m also happy with the team’s performance. I hope it continues that way. Hugo Ekitiké is a great player and you can link up well with great players. That will only improve over time.”
