Stat Attack Team Top Facts
- Eintracht scored the second most goals from outside the box (13, only Hamburg scored more with 14). Frankfurt converted 8.9% of their 146 shots from outside the box into goals – the best goals to shot ratio in that category last season.
- Eintracht suffered the most of all Bundesliga teams of own goals. While they conceded 3 own goals they had none accrued. This ‘-3’ value is the worst of any team. For example Moenchengladbach conceded no own goals but benefitted from 4 (3 of them in the 5:3-match against Hannover!) – top in the league.
- 7 Frankfurt goals were scored volley – more than any other Bundesliga team managed. Maik Franz volleyed in 3 on his own, joint top in the league with Stephan Kießling of Leverkusen.
- A couple of not so great stats: Eintracht had the most sending offs in Bundesliga (5) and the least ‘clean sheets’ - games without conceding a goal (also 5).
- 6 Bundesliga teams had a better passing accuracy than Eintracht (77.9% of all passes excluding crosses and corners) – the league average is 77.1%. Only the 4 top teams Bayern Munich, Bayer Leverkusen, Hamburger SV and VfL Wolfsburg have a better accuracy with short passes than Eintracht (81.2%, league average 80.2%).
- With a total of 330 Eintracht had the most headed clearances in Bundesliga (heading the ball out of the danger zone). This is down to the defenders Marco Russ who had the third most in the league (83) and Chris (70, 9th in the league). The picture below shows both of them against Mueller and Klose.
- Eintracht also cleared the ball off their goal line 8 times – a league top. Maik Franz managed this 3 times, second most in Bundesliga behind Pinola of Nuernberg (5).
