Four back plus a new signing

Barkok and Joveljic were back in action on Monday afternoon, Rode and Stendera are fit again, and all eyes were on new addition Enrique Herrero García.

"The players really set about it with gusto and there’s a good atmosphere among the squad,” said head coach Oliver Glasner between the two training sessions on Monday. Tuesday morning saw more varied exercises on the programme as the players studied different attacking patterns. There were tactical set plays with four against two in a restricted space or across half the pitch, with three sets of players alternating against one another. Attack took on defence, looking either to score goals or prevent them.

Aymen Barkok and Dejan Joveljic were back from their break, while Sebastian Rode and Nils Stendera are now over their injuries and able to take part. Sixteen-year-old new signing Enrique Herrero García was also involved straight away.

The only notable absentee was Almamy Toure, who suffered a tendon injury in his anterior thigh at the beginning of the week.
