Veh: We Come Well Prepared!

Eintracht manager Armin Veh answered the media's questions yesterday ahead of tonight's away match against VfL Bochum. Please read a summary of the pre match press conference below.

Mr Veh, your team scored 26 goals this season so far and is still unbeaten. Will this run continue?
It would be nice to extend the run. But you have to say that it is unusual to score that many away goals. Bochum was a top competitor at the start of the season and I believe they will improve. That's why it is important to be successful in Bochum and to keep them behind us.

What is the latest on the squad?
Gekas will not be available as he has a thigh injury. The medic said he could play but with a slight risk. I would only use im in the worst case scenario.

Who will play instead of Gekas?
Either Hoffer or Friend.

What is the latest on 'Jimmy' Hoffer?
He did very well in the last two weeks. It was good for him not to travel with the national team of Austria and to partake in all training sessions. I know that I can can rely on him, he has no pressure and can go into the match at ease. At the start of the season it was difficult for him as he was not 100% fit but now he caught up well.

So there are only changes to the starting line-up?
Yes, I won't change the tactical formation.

Why do you use two men up front?
I think it is hard to cope with us that way. With another player up front to pass the ball to there are more options for our midfielders and it is more difficult to defend against us.

Unbeaten and in the second spot of the rankings - should the opponent try and cope with your team rather than the other way round?
I hope so but it is not that easy, Bochum will try and win the game also and they will be highly motivated. But we come well prepared with a good team. Still, the quality of Bundesliga 2 is better than it used to be and there's a long way to go.
