Veh: Travel To Düsseldorf With Confidence!

Eintracht manager Armin Veh offered his views ahead of the first match after the winter break (Sunday at 13.30h CET at home v Eintracht Braunschweig). Read a summary of his press conference statements.

Mr Veh, everyone is talking about the freezing cold weather. How will you and the team cope with that?
There will be no special measures on the matchday. It is up to the players how they protect themselves against the extreme cold. The players on the bench should not wear football boots but proper winter boots. And I won't wear just a jacket either.

What is the latest about the team - Mo Idrissou joined the team already again for training, is he free of pain or will he bite the bullet?
Luckily he is not in pain and was able to fully exercise. If taht will stay that way I will consider adding him to the squad.

Will he be ready for the starting line-up already?
No, that would be too early for him.

Will there be changes to the back four?
We are forced to change the central defense due to Anderson's injury but with Martin Amedick we signed an experienced player for this position. The question is who will be left defender - Heiko Butscher is very experienced, Constant Djakpa good for our attacking play.

How important is a good start?
Of course a successful start it would be important to then travel to Düsseldorf with confidence.

How do you see Eintracht Braunschweig?
They are a really good team, dangerous up front, pressing early and switching fast from defense to offense. Them winning away to Fürth tells a story. But we also made out some weaknesses which I will not give away.
