Veh: The Spirit Of The Lads!

During the press conference ahead of the ‘Frankfurt derby’ on Saturday between Eintracht and FSV (kick-off at 13h CET) Eagles manager Armin Veh offered his views.

Mr Veh, will there be any comebacks of previously injured players?
The medics have not yet given their OK in regards to Kessler and Amedick. Also Schwegler will not make the starting 11, Idrissou could be an option but I am not intending to make many changes.

Will Pirmin Schwegler be on the bench?
That is possible but we will take one step at a time.

What do you think of FSV Frankfurt?
They started well after the winter break and they signed good players. In any case it will not be an easy game for us.

Did FSV’s tactics change?
They play a strict 4-4-2 with Amri on the right. That way they have become more flexible. I know Benno Möhlmann [FSV coach] well, he has brought order to the team.

Did the match in Düsseldorf have a negative effect on your team?
No, it was rather positive for us, the team closed ranks. Also the supporters and the club’s environment noticed the spirit of the lads. The team carried out well what we had aimed for beforehand.

Any criticism in regards to the team’s game on Monday night?
We should have attacked more consequently. Defensively the back four did well, Butscher and Schildenfeld complemented each other and they both can push and support the team verbally.
