Veh: Supporters are Part of Football

Ahead of tonight's home match against FC St. Pauli the media was given the chance to find out the latest from Eintracht manager Armin Veh.

Kick-off is tonight at 20.15h CET. The pre match press conference took place on Saturday.

Mr Veh, will you change the starting line-up?
I am forced to change the back four with Marco Russ' departure to join VfL Wolfsburg. It is likely that Ricardo Clark will step in to fill the gap. Meier and Hoffer have rejoined training after minor issues, I hope they will be OK to play.

How difficult will it be to cope with Marco Russ leaving the club?
Him leaving will not be easy for us. Marco is a very good defender and I will now have to adjust the squad again and the team will have to accomplish that.

How about Stefan Bell?
Stefan had a good week in training, he has adjusted well since he joined. But Ricardo Clark is slightly ahead of him.

What do you think about the opponent St. Pauli?
I think they will stick to the same system, and Ebbers will guide their game. St. Pauli have a tight defense and various fast players.

Have you already experienced a match with crowd limitations?
No, this is the first time.

Is it a disadvantage?
For sure it is no advantage. We would like to have our fans behind us, especially in the first home game of the season. Supporters are part of football, and without them it is less fun.

Why did you move the training to the stadium yesterday?
I wanted to give our new players the opportunity to play on the 'new' pitch ahead of their first home match.
