Veh: Stick To Our Game!

During the pre match press conference ahead of the home match against Dynamo Dresden the media addressed head coach Armin Veh. Read a summary of his statements below. The match at the Commerzbank Arena will kick off on Friday at 18h CET.

Mr Veh, are all players fully fit?
So far so good, there are no injured players right now.

Will there be changes to the starting line-up?
It is possible that I will make changes but not necessarily so. If I feel there is a need to make alterations then I will do so.

How do you see the opponent?
Dresden have a decent attacking unit. They are good with counter attacks and simply have good players up front, so we need to come prepared. It is no coincidence that Dynamo showed some good performances against teams in the upper table half.

Do you think the Eagles will struggle with Dynamo’s striking powers?
We also have some skilful players in defense and it is not the first time my lads are facing good strikers. It is not all about pace but also the right positioning and canny defending and that is what we have to show tomorrow. We will not play deep but try and stick to our game and push forward.

What impression do you have from this week’s training with the team?
It was a short week for us. We have to make sure that everyone is fit tomorrow – that was the main aim in training. The team is doing well and seems fully focused.

Is it an advantage that Eintracht are first to play and the competing teams will play later on?
That is only an advantage if you win your match, not ahead of it. There are less and less matchdays now, every single game is important for us. But the main thing is to win our home match and to put pressure on the opponent.
