More Than One Million International Followers

Beginning with International English Twitter and Facebook accounts in 2016, Eintracht started its global communication on a digital basis. Using the German content, especially from EintrachtTV, as a foundation for creating emotional connection points, social media played an immense role in the club’s brand image and awareness. Especially in each of its tours since 2014 when the first men’s team traveled to the United States (US), Spain, Abu Dhabi, and China. The global awareness the club earned on its digital platforms is due the wide scope of localizing content to seven markets, including on Twitter and Facebook, as well as Weibo, WeChat, Toutiao, and MaiMai.

With hundreds of thousands of fans from Beijing to London to Rio de Janiero to Mexico City, it is clear that Eagle fans worldwide are unified through their passion for Eintracht. The love for the Frankfurt club extends far beyond their local fanbase, as the universal language of sport connects with fans throughout the globe. Eintracht continues to utilize this connection to build bridges across various cultures and create one community brought together through this shared enthusiasm.

The multicultural aspect of the city of Frankfurt catalyzes in this connectivity across the globe, with residents coming from 180 different countries. Outside of the city, thousands of miles separate fans in New York, Bogota, and Tokyo, yet Eintracht brings all different cultures together within one unified sport society. The spirit in the heart of Europe is a worldwide phenomenon.

This accomplishment is an impactful indicator of the club’s internationalization process, closely following the recent Norway Forum and expansion of other International Forums. Connections within the Frankfurt Rhein-Main region are extending beyond the heart of Europe by building networks abroad with a focus on sports, civil society, culture, education, and business.
