The Preview

A couple of very important Bundesliga home games are coming up: VfB Stuttgart will be the visitors on Sunday afternoon (kick off at 15.30h CET). A week later 1. FC Kaiserslautern will be travelling to Frankfurt who are like Stuttgart competitors of the Eagles in the lower regions of the standings. Team and fans need to stick together in order to manage the first win in 2011.

POSSIBLE LINE-UPS

EINTRACHT: Fährmann – Jung, Franz, Russ, Tzavellas – Rode, Schwegler – Ochs, Altintop, Köhler – Gekas (manager: Michael Skibbe).

STUTTGART: Ulreich – Boulahrouz, Tasci, Delpierre, Molinari – Träsch, Kuzmanovic – Gebhart, Hajnal, Okazaki - Harnik (manager: Bruno Labbadia).

ATTENDANCE

Over 45,000 are expected on Sunday afternoon at the Commerzbank Arena. Remaining tickets will be available at the ground.

COLOURS

Eintracht will play in traditional black and red, Stuttgart in white.

The Eagles won the first leg this season away to Stuttgart 2-1 (goals by Gekas and Chris). Both games last season were lost to VfB (0-3 at home, 1-2 away).

Eintracht played their third most Bundesliga games against VfB Stuttgart (81), only Hamburg and Bremen were met more often. 21 of 40 home games were won against VfB, though the last home win was 10 years ago when the Eagles won 2-1 by goals of Rolf-Christel Guié-Mien and Pawel Kryszalowicz (Sean Dundee scored for VfB). None of the 14 players featuring in that fixture back in 2001 are in the current squad.
