Two wins from two

Eintracht Frankfurt Women won 1-0 away to SC Freiburg.

Niko Arnautis’ side picked up a second win in their second match of the FLYERALARM Women’s Bundesliga season. In a fiercely contested encounter watched by 700 spectators in Freiburg, Lara Prasnikar scored the all-important goal 12 minutes from time, firing in from Laura Freigang’s back-heel in the penalty area.

Head coach Niko Arnautis: “It was a very fiercely contested match, in which both teams pushed themselves to their limits. I have to give credit to my players. We’ve set out this season to come out on top in these tight games. We succeeded in that today with the late strike from Lara Prasnikar, so we’re very happy to take the three points.”

Eintracht Women occupy third place in the table following the first two rounds of fixtures. On Matchday 3, they host promoted side 1. FC Köln at 14:00 CEST on 11 September.
