Play-offs and friendlies

Nine Eintracht Women players will be in action for their respective national teams in the coming days, with several involved in crucial EURO 2022 qualifiers.

Géraldine Reuteler and Switzerland are hoping to clinch their place at the tournament in England next year. The ‘Nati’ face the Czech Republic in Chomutov in the first leg of their play-off on Friday 9 April (kick-off 16:00 CEST) before the return leg in Thun four days later (20:00 CEST). Reuteler’s Eintracht teammate Sandrine Mauron is on standby for the Swiss.

Laura Freigang, Merle Frohms, Sophia Kleinherne and Sjoeke Nüsken have all been named in Germany’s squad for friendlies against Australia (Saturday 10 April, 16:10 CEST) and Norway (Tuesday 13 April, 16:00 CEST) in Wiesbaden, while striker Lara Prasnikar is set to feature for Slovenia in their home games with Serbia (Friday 9 April) and Slovakia (Tuesday 13 April).

Alexandra Johannsdottir’s Iceland play Italy twice (on Saturday 10 April and Tuesday 13 April), with Austrian trio Barbara Dunst, Laura Feiersinger and Virginia Kirchberger set to face Finland (Sunday 11 April).
