Familiar cup opponent

As was the case two years ago, Eintracht have been drawn against SV Waldhof Mannheim away in the first round of the 2021/22 DFB Cup campaign.

Eintracht will face SV Waldhof Mannheim in the first round of the 2021/22 DFB Cup.

The first-round draw was made on Sunday evening, pitting the Eagles against Waldhof Mannheim across the weekend of 6-9 August.

The two teams are familiar opponents, having previously met in the first round in 2019. It was a spectacular occasion that day, with an Ante Rebic hat-trick earning a 5-3 win for Eintracht.

The second round, should Eintracht progress, is scheduled to take place on 26/27 October.
