“Both teams could’ve nicked it”

“Intense and frantic” – that was how those involved described the match against Köln afterwards.

Oliver Glasner: “It was an intense and frantic game, no one gave an inch or their opponents much time on the ball. Köln started much better and the goal annoyed me, but the lads have great character and battled. Before half-time, we created a lot of threatening situations and scored a very nice equaliser. It wasn’t an easy finish from Filip’s fizzing cross. All our new forwards – Hauge, Lammers and Borré – have now scored. It was to and fro after the break, both teams could’ve nicked it.”

Now it’s important that we win a match. We have to fight hard to win – we have the quality to do it.

Timothy Chandler: “I’ve got a sore head. He hit the back of my head and then it split open, but it went away. Steffen Baumgart asked after me immediately, which was very sporting. It was a very disjointed and hard-fought match. We showed a lot of passion and put in a lot of effort. We need to keep working hard.”

Jens Petter Hauge: “I’m proud of how the team fought. Unfortunately it wasn’t enough. We played the spaces well but we need to be more precise and be better with the final ball. It’s little things but they make the difference. I’m pleased for Rafa that he scored. He deserved it, especially as it was a nice team goal. Now it’s important that we win a match. We have to fight hard to win – we have the quality to do it.”
