Lucas Torró moves back to Spain

The midfielder is joining La Liga club CA Osasuna after two years in Frankfurt.

For Torró, who hails from Cocentaina in the Alicante province, the return to his home country is also a return to Pamplona, where the defensive midfielder played between 2017 and 2018 and made 37 appearances in the Segunda División. He then rejoined former club Real Madrid before immediately signing for Eintracht.

The 26-year-old made 25 appearances in all competitions over two seasons, during which he registered two goals.

That’s why we granted his wish to return to familiar surroundings, and we hope Lucas soon rediscovers his best form.

Sporting director Bruno Hübner

Torró has been plagued by injuries during his two years in Germany and missed, for example, the winter training camps in both 2018 and 2019. The Spaniard’s contract at Eintracht was originally due to run until 30 June 2023.

Sporting director Bruno Hübner said: “When measured against his technical and physical ability, the amount of playing time that Lucas has had over the last two years is certainly unsatisfactory. Whenever you had the feeling he could hold down a place in the side, injuries or personal blows such as the death of his brother set him back. That’s why we granted his wish to return to familiar surroundings, and we hope Lucas soon rediscovers his best form.”
