“Fight, passion and spirit”

Oliver Glasner and Timothy Chandler answer the media’s questions on injuries, Royal Antwerp and Eintracht’s recent form.

Oliver Glasner and Timothy Chandler on…

…excitement ahead of the game:

Oliver Glasner: “There's great anticipation for the match, as there always is in European competition. The mood in the camp is likewise good. We're looking forward to being back in action tomorrow.”

Timothy Chandler: “We’re looking forward to the game. The atmosphere is good, we want to play football again and we’re happy that the stadium will be almost full.”

…personnel:

Oliver Glasner: “We're a bit more stretched personnel-wise because Evan Ndicka and Erik Durm are out. But we have a good squad and every player in it has our full confidence.”

…Royal Antwerp:

Oliver Glasner: “We don’t regard them as easy opponents. Antwerp are a good team physically with lively wingers, an experienced midfield and a robust striker in Michael Frey.”

Timothy Chandler: “Antwerp are a physically strong team, they'll make life difficult for us. They've underlined that both in the league and in the match at Olympiacos, but we're also a good team.”

…recent form:

Oliver Glasner: “We lost our first two games but we’ve now gone six games unbeaten. We want to win now, of course. We’re capable of scoring in every game. If you manage to keep a clean sheet as well, you leave the pitch as winners. You have to produce your maximum performance in every match in the Europa League group stage if you're going to win. Obviously we're desperate to win because a victory would help our overall situation.”

Timothy Chandler: “We always need to show fight, passion and spirit. The question about the formation is less interesting for us. What's important is that we play good football and pick up points. That's what matters.”
