Innovation in youth development

Thanks to a partnership with bepro11, the analysis work in the Eintracht Frankfurt academy is at a professional level.

For some time now, the Eintracht academy in Riederwald has been working with a new technology partner, bepro11. The camera system, which has been installed in two locations up to now, records games or training sessions on film which can be simultaneously categorised for analysis afterwards. The new technology has gone down well on all sides.

U16 head coach Helge Rasche.

“bepro11 gives us a lot of possibilities in analysis in order to review our own perception,” said U16 head coach Helge Rasche. “The evaluation of data, statistics and videos makes our job much easier.” In practical terms, it works as follows: permanently installed cameras ensure comprehensive coverage of all the action that takes place on the field of play. The platform in the background directly converts each scene into relevant data for the coaches.

Any number of factors can be combined as desired, in three broad areas: point in time, players involved and main theme. For example, if you want to find out about the finishing of player XY under pressure from the opponent, all it takes is three clicks: 36th minute, number 9, #shooting. And then the programme produces the desired sequence.

Another major benefit of bepro11 is that all matches and training sessions can be viewed in a live stream by every internal user within the sporting management. “I use the app very often,” stated board member Fredi Bobic, who likes the mobile access. “There’s more than your usual camera system behind it. Using the app, I can watch games live and it’s very easy for me to get targeted data on players.”

This innovation drive at the academy is happening in close coordination and with the support of the first-team department at the club. This tighter interlinking also includes analysis technology, meaning the academy can now use professional-level tools. “I’m really happy that we have this professional, highest possible standard,” added Bobic. “We look forward to the continued cooperation.”
