“I’m a bit of a rascal”

Ali Akman spoke about choosing to come to Eintracht, becoming an Eagle and his excitement ahead of his debut.

Ali Akman on…

…his decision to move to Eintracht: “Eintracht Frankfurt have always been a reference point for me in the Bundesliga, ever since I was a child. When I started attracting interest from various clubs this year, it was the tradition of this particular club that appealed to me. My heart told me to sign here.”

…leaving Turkey: “Obviously first and foremost, it’s tough to say goodbye to your family and friends. But how I’ve been accepted here has been absolutely incredible. Eintracht is my new family, and that shows me that I chose the right move.”

…looking forward to his Eintracht debut: “I simply cannot wait to put on an Eagles jersey for the first time. I’m really excited, full of anticipation and I hope that I can fulfil the expectations that people have in me with some really great performances.”

…his character as a player and a person: “I’m a bit of a rascal, and the rest of the club worked that our pretty quickly (laughs). I’m very much at home in the penalty box and I see myself as a poacher in front of goal who gets in the right place at the right time.”
