Five Eagles in Germany’s EURO squad

Germany head coach Martina-Voss-Tecklenburg has included Frohms, Doorsoun, Kleinherne, Anyomi and Freigang in her roster for the Women’s European Championship in England.

With just a few days left before Germany’s last warm-up game against Switzerland on Friday 24 June, head coach Martina Voss-Tecklenburg has confirmed her final squad for the upcoming Women’s European Championship in England.

Germany number one Merle Frohms, who will join VfL Wolfsburg from July, is included alongside defenders Sara Doorsoun and Sophia Kleinherne and forwards Nicole Anyomi and Laura Freigang.

Five players had to be cut from the provisional pool of players, among them Eintracht midfielder Sjoeke Nüsken, who will remain on stand-by. Germany’s first group game takes place on Friday 8 July against Denmark in Brentford.
