First training session for Filip Kostic

New signing Filip Kostic was involved as Eintracht Frankfurt trained for the first time in the final week before the Bundesliga kicks off.

Kostic completed his first training session with the Eagles on Tuesday morning following his move from Hamburger SV. Despite beginning his pre-season training with Hamburg later than usual due to his involvement at the FIFA World Cup with Serbia, he looked in good shape during his first outing. “We’re very pleased that Filip is with us now," said head coach Adi Hütter. "He’s fast, he’s a good crosser and he can score goals too. Filip will benefit our attacking play.”

High intensity ahead of league opener

While Kostic was fully involved, David Abraham and Ante Rebic both worked individually. Captain Abraham picked up a knock to his thigh against Ulm but the Argentinian is expected to return tomorrow. Rebic remains doubtful, however.

Eintracht’s next open session takes place on Wednesday morning at 10:30 CEST.
