EURO: Zuber helps keep last-16 hopes alive

Switzerland finished third in their group following a 3-1 win over Turkey. Steven Zuber wrote himself into EURO history by setting up all three goals.

The Swiss claimed a deserved 3-1 win against Turkey on Sunday after a strong performance in Baku. Steven Zuber started and set up all three of his team’s goals, becoming only the third player to record three assists in a European Championship match. Eintracht teammate Djibril Sow was an unused substitute this time around.

With Italy beating Wales 1-0 in the other match, that crucial win for Switzerland saw them finish third in Group A, with realistic hopes of reaching the knockout stages as one of the four best third-placed teams.
