In the current season Marmoush, who can play in a variety of positions in attack, has been one of VfL's key players, scoring six times in 34 games in all competitions so far. During his time at Wolfsburg, Marmoush was sent out on two loan spells. He was at second-division side FC St. Pauli in the second half of the 2020/21 campaign, where he provided seven goals and three assists in 21 appearances. The right-footer was then loaned to VfB Stuttgart in 2021/22, contributing three goals and five assists in 21 Bundesliga games for the club. Additionally, Marmoush was in the starting line-up when Egypt played in the final of the Africa Cup of Nations in February 2022, which they only lost to Senegal on penalties.

In Omar Marmoush we have signed a player whose abilities will give our attack even greater flexibility.
