Eintracht looking to keep up form

Eintracht Frankfurt travel to face Borussia Mönchengladbach on Friday knowing that they are coming up against a team that they have certainly done well against in the past. Eintracht have recorded 29 Bundesliga all-time victories against Gladbach, and have scored a grand total of 52 times in Mönchengladbach.

Although, in the first game between these two sides this season at the Commerzbank-Arena in Frankfurt, Gladbach recorded a 2-1 victory; Eintracht will definitely need the three points this time round though if they are to keep up their push for UEFA Europa League qualification for next season.

Bogey team for Gladbach

Indeed, that was the only victory that Gladbach have recorded in their last seven attempts against Frankfurt; apart from that win there have been three defeats and three draws. Eintracht will be all the more desperate to win this weekend though, considering that they could make it four wins in a row; the club hasn't embarked on such a run in the league since the 1993/94 season.

Borussia coach Michael Frontzeck will have to do without Christian Dorda who has a knee injury, and Robert Friend, who has tendon damage to his ankle.

Injury worries too for Skibbe

Eintracht manager Michael Skibbe on the other hand, will be without Maik Franz due suspension, Alexsandar Vasoski due to a knee injury, and Pirmin Schwegler due to illness.

The action gets going at 20.30 (CET) at Stadion im Borussia-Park on Friday night, as matchday 30 gets going in earnest.
