Brown among Rookie of the Month nominees

Fans can cast their votes for the Eintracht winger, who is on the shortlist for the Bundesliga’s best newcomer in November.

On 2 November, six days after making his Bundesliga debut for Eintracht Frankfurt at the Stadion An der Alten Försterei in Berlin, Nathaniel Brown was named in the starting line-up for a league match for the first time.

The 21-year-old, universally known as Nene, played the full 90 minutes and helped the Eagles to a 7-2 victory over VfL Bochum in a spectacle at Deutsche Bank Park, crowning the occasion with his maiden first-team goal.

It marked the start of a wild ride - in a positive sense - for the youngster in November. He started all three of the team’s Bundesliga assignments across the month, and more than made his mark in the side. The No.21 followed up his strike against Bochum with another goal in the 3-2 away win over VfB Stuttgart the following week. Furthermore, he scored once in two appearances for the Germany U21s, and also played from start to finish in Eintracht’s 1-0 home win over SV Werder Bremen.

As a result, Brown is now among the nominees for the November Rookie of the Month award. Fans can cast their votes for him until 23:59 CET on Thursday 12 December.

This season, the Bundesliga is once again honouring the best young stars with the Rookie of the Month Award. In addition to Brown, VfL Wolfsburg’s Konstantinos Koulierakis and Holstein Kiel’s Phil Harres have also been shortlisted for November.
