Eintracht Women on international duty

Germany were the only team to pick up a positive result over the weekend, but there were nevertheless some other highlights from an Eintracht perspective.

Barbara Dunst and goalscorer Virginia Kirchberger both played from start to finish for Austria in a 6-1 defeat to Sweden, while Laura Feiersinger came off the bench in the 70th minute. Austria face Slovakia in their next game on Tuesday evening (kick-off 18:30 CET).

Defeat for Switzerland and Reuteler

Géraldine Reuteler was in the starting line-up for Switzerland in a 2-0 loss to France. While she was on the pitch for the full 90 minutes, Sandrine Mauron was an unused substitute. The Swiss face France once again on Tuesday (kick-off 21:00 CET).

Nüsken makes winning Germany debut

Germany eased to a 2-0 victory over Belgium on Sunday evening. Not only did Merle Frohms keep a clean sheet over the 90 minutes in Aachen, but Sjoeke Nüsken also made her senior international debut for her country after coming on as a 72nd-minute substitute. Laura Freigang and Sophia Kleinherne did not feature. Germany are next in action on Wednesday against the Netherlands in Venlo (kick-off 18:30 CET).

Prasnikar in action for Slovenia

Lara Prasnikar and Slovenia take on Estonia on Tuesday at the Sportland Arena in Tallinn at 17:00 CET.
