Eintracht Frankfurt Women dominated for long spells away to TSG Hoffenheim in the headline fixture of Matchday 4 in the FLYERALARM Women’s Bundesliga, but ultimately succumbed to a 2-1 defeat.
Camilla Küver headed Eintracht in front in the 24th minute, only for Jana Feldkamp to equalise ten minutes later. Nicole Billa put the home side ahead early in the second half (54’) and luck was not on Eintracht’s side in the 84th minute when Lara Prasnikar went close to deservedly levelling the score, only to hit the crossbar.
Head coach Niko Arnautis: “It was a very tight and exciting match, right until the end. If you look at the game as a whole, Hoffenheim couldn’t have complained if it had been a draw. It’ll be an exciting battle at the top of the table until the very end of the season.”
The team’s next game is on Sunday 10 October away to SGS Essen.
